A blog about Elizabeth Warren and her Persistence

Another day, another amazing bit of brilliance by Elizabeth Warren. Is there anything she can’t do? ┬áRead the article here.

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, introduced legislation this week that seeks to give domestic terrorism victims access to treatments at appropriate military health care facilities.

The bill, which looks to honor the work of Boston Marathon bombing survivors Jessica Kensky and Patrick Downes, would accelerate care for terrorism victims’ traumatic injuries, while allowing military treatment facilities to maintain military medical readiness and provide training opportunities, according to the senator’s office.

Check this out:

The measure, which the Massachusetts Democrat originally introduced in late 2016, comes in addition to steps Congress took last year to ease civilian and veteran access to the military health system.

The process, however, “remains slow and bureaucratic,” according to the senator’s office.

A Senator actually working hard to clear up the bureaucracy and get people help when they need it. Thank you!

“When I visited Jessica and Patrick at Walter Reed, I saw firsthand the state-of-the-art facilities and met with some of their world-class physicians,” she said in a statement. “Jess and Patrick credited this highly specialized team for helping them recover more fully than would have been possible otherwise. But many people who suffer blast injuries are unable to find this kind of expert care.

Solid work which helps people, just another day at the office for Elizabeth Warren!
